The South Carolina low country is scattered with misty marshes and lush lagoons that are at once peaceful and teeming with life. This mixed media painting in saturated blues and soft greens captures that ethereal feeling of my morning strolls along the beach and marshes. Like so much of my work, there's a small surprise tucked into this painting's many layers: a small section of a map of Kiawah Island, my home!
This painting is 20" x 24" acrylic, oil pastel and gold metallic leaf on gallery wrapped canvas framed in a black and gold floating frame, ready to hang.
