Commission Process

Commissions are an important part of my business, and I would love to work with you to create something meaningful and bespoke. I collaborate directly with clients and interior designers to craft the perfect piece for your space. For convenience, I also offer virtual consultation meetings via FaceTime or Zoom to discuss your project in detail.

To start on your custom piece, I'll need the following information:

- Desired size (if unsure, I can visit the space if you're local, or review your wall dimensions to determine the ideal size).

- If available, photos of the space where you plan to display the painting
- At least 3-4 images of my previous work that you like, as a reference
- 2-3 colors you'd like to be included in the piece
- Fabric swatches, paint chips, if available

If you have a special element you'd like for me to collage into your painting (e.g. a swatch of your grandmother's wedding dress, a piece of a vintage photo or a family heirloom recipe), please let me know and we can discuss its aesthetic and archival viability. I'm frequently able to incorporate certain materials that have special meaning into a commissioned painting, with the understanding that the item becomes part of the artwork and cannot be extracted after I've incorporated it.

Please note the following commission terms:

- A 50% deposit is required upfront, with the remaining balance due before delivery.
- Shipping costs are additional and must be paid before delivery.
- I will provide a timeline after reviewing your project.
- The process includes 2 rounds of revisions; additional revisions will incur a change fee.
- All commission sales are final.

  • Commissioned pieces are packed and shipped according to size, weight, insurance requirements and destination. I will provide a shipping estimate to you when I have the necessary details and we determine your preferred carrier.

If you want one of my paintings but have trouble visualizing it in your space, please get in touch to request a mock-up image that will show you what my art will look like in your room.
